The Agency Service Model

The three engagement tiers aren't just a scoping tool — they're a packaged, sellable service ladder.

Service Packages by Tier

PackageTierWhat It IsBuilt From
Quick-Start AI SearchCrawlA Knowledge Box or Modal Dialog layered onto existing search, deployed from auto-create + scrapingKnowledge Foundation, Deployment Surfaces
AI Assistant DeploymentWalkA full branded Bot with OOTB integrations, forms, and connector-based content syncGuided Experiences, Integrations & Actions
Agentic Platform BuildRunCustom integrations into CRM, commerce, or ticketing systems, personalization, and (for multi-brand clients) sub-organization setupIntegrations & Actions, Managing Multiple Clients
Optimization & GrowthAny tier, recurringOngoing answer-quality improvement using Logs/Analyze and Test Plans, plus the tier-graduation conversationTrust & Governance

Sequencing note: Quick-Start is the natural first engagement with a client who's never deployed anything like this — fast, low-risk, and it proves the value that justifies the Walk or Run conversation later. Don't lead with Run unless discovery genuinely supports it; see Discovery & Scoping.

The Growth Path Is the Business Model

Say this explicitly when presenting this model internally: a Crawl-tier client is not a smaller deal — it's the on-ramp to a bigger one. A client who sees a Knowledge Box working in production for a month is a warmer conversation for a full Bot than any cold pitch. A client running a Bot successfully is the natural audience for "what if this could also check inventory / create a case / process an order" — the Run-tier pitch practically makes itself once Walk is live and trusted. Structure the commercial relationship around this graduation path, not around a single fixed-scope project.

Cross-Selling the Discoverability Program

If a client engaged through this guide doesn't already work with ai12z's Get Found in AI Search agency program, the reverse cross-sell is just as real: a client with a strong on-site AI Assistant deployment is exactly the client who benefits most from proving that AI engines are actually sending traffic to it. See that program's own Agency Service Model for the discoverability-side packages — the two practices are meant to be sold together over time, not as competing offers.
