Managing Multiple Clients
This is the chapter that makes "building a practice" literal, not aspirational — how your agency actually runs many clients from one ai12z account.
Sub-Organizations
ai12z supports sub-organizations, so a main account can create and manage a sub-organization per client, department, brand, or business unit — each with its own settings, users, agents, and billing configuration. See Organization for the full setup.
Billing responsibility can sit with either the parent (your agency) or the sub-organization (the client) — the right choice depends on how you've structured the engagement commercially. See Subscription for the plan picker, which estimates usage from expected question volume, traffic, feature needs, and seasonal demand, and recommends the smallest tier that fits.
Billing visibility is also controllable per sub-organization — decide whether a client's own users have full access, limited access, or no access to subscription details, independent of who's actually paying.
Per-Client Branding
Each sub-organization can have its own branded portal — sign-in screen and login logo, portal identity and colors — and its own communication templates for invitations, notifications, verification emails, password resets, and user messages. This matters for how professional the engagement feels to the client's own team, especially anyone with portal access who isn't used to seeing an unfamiliar vendor's branding.
Environment Promotion
For clients moving through development, staging, and production — or for reusing a proven configuration across similar clients — Agent Import & Export lets you export an agent as a ZIP package and import it into a different project or environment, moving configurations, content setup, and resources without rebuilding from scratch.
