The ai12z GEO/AEO Toolbox
The Lab does not need to show every feature. It uses the right reports to make the strategy measurable.
Resist the temptation to demo all fourteen tools in sequence during a live session — it turns a working session into a product tour. Use this page as the reference attendees take home, and in the live workshop, only surface the tool that's directly relevant to whatever gap the room just found.
The Fourteen Tools
| Tool | Answers | When to Reach for It |
|---|---|---|
| Q&A Analysis | What are our customers actually asking, and how well do we answer? | First report to run for any new brand — the natural starting point |
| URL Analysis | Is this one specific page structured for AI citation? | After a weak page is identified, for a deep 19-section audit |
| Keyword Visibility | How well do we answer both short-form and conversational versions of a target question? | When testing specific target keywords rather than organic chatbot questions |
| AI Footprint | Does AI know who we are, consistently, across every platform? | Quarterly, or whenever brand identity feels fragmented across channels |
| Agent-Readiness Audit | Can AI crawlers even reach and parse our site? | Before any content-quality work — a technical gate that blocks everything else |
| GEO Trend Comparison | Are we improving, and against which specific metric? | After at least two Q&A Analysis runs exist for the same brand |
| Citation Monitor | Are ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude actually citing us — or a competitor? | After content fixes ship, to prove real-world citation impact |
| Site-Wide Sweep | Which pages, across the whole site, are structurally weakest? | Before running URL Analysis one page at a time — triage first |
| Consolidated Action Plan | What's the single ranked to-do list across every report we've run? | After running two or more reports — never as a first step |
| AI Referral Analytics | Is any of this driving real, measurable traffic? | Ongoing — it's a live dashboard, not a generated report |
| Q&A Insights | Which specific conversation is behind a weak score, and did it come from an AI referral? | Ongoing — it's a live table, not a generated report |
| Web Content Quality | Which specific ingested page is weak, before running a full audit on it? | Ongoing — it's a live table, not a generated report |
| Citation Manager | Where do our tracked citation queries come from, and how do we reuse them? | Whenever building or refreshing a Citation Monitor query set |
| Keyword Manager | Same question, for Keyword Visibility's tracked terms | Whenever building or refreshing a Keyword Visibility term set |
Two Tools That Aren't "Reports" — And Why That Matters
Point this out explicitly, because it's easy to gloss over: Citation Manager and Keyword Manager are not reports. They're the list-management layer underneath Citation Monitor and Keyword Visibility — the mechanism that makes re-testing possible at all. Without a saved, named, reusable list, "re-run the same test" doesn't mean anything, because there's no "same" to re-run. This is the toolbox's quiet answer to the measurement loop category from the Optimization Playbook.
Similarly, AI Referral Analytics, Q&A Insights, and Web Content Quality aren't something you "generate" — all three are always live. Mentioning that distinction to the room prevents a confused moment later when someone looks for a "Generate Report" button that doesn't exist on any of them. See The Live Signal Reports for a full walkthrough of the two newest ones.
The Screen That Ties Them Together
Not one of the original fourteen, but worth naming for facilitators: the GEO Suite Dashboard pulls the headline signal from most of these tools onto one screen with a shared date range and period-over-period deltas. It's the right screen to open at the start of a session (to show where a brand stands today) and the right screen to return to a month later (to show what moved).
